  Lovely Professional University is recognized by University Grants Commission(UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India established for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India.

  

  Lovely Professional University is included in the list of universities maintained by University Grants Commission under section - 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.

• Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

  Lovely Professional University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), an organization promoting university activities especially by way of sharing information and co-operation in the field of education, culture, sports and allied areas

  

• Distance Education Council (DEC)

  Lovely Professional University is recognized by the Distance Education Council(DEC), an apex body for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system in the country.

  

• National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)

  Teacher education programmes namely B.Ed, B.Ed(Yoga), M.Ed, M.Ed(Part Time),ETT and NTT; and Physical Education programmes namely B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed and D.P.Ed (C.P.Ed) are duly recognized by National Council of Teacher Education(NCTE), a statutory body of the Government of India established for planned & co-ordination development of teacher education system throughout the country

  

• Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

  B.Pharmacy programme at Lovely Institute of Technology (Pharmacy) and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lovely Professional University are approved by Pharmacy Council of India(PCI), a statutory body of Government of India established to regulate the Pharmacy Education in the Country for the purpose of registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act and Profession and Practice of Pharmacy.

  

• Indian Association of Physiotherapists(IAP)

  Department of Physiotherapy, Lovely Professional University has been granted provisional affiliation to Indian Association of Physiotherapists(IAP), an association to set and ensure ethical professional practices and promote high professional standards of independent practice of physiotherapy by the members of IAP

  

• Council of Architecture (COA)

  B.Arch and M.Arch programmes at Lovely School of Architecture & Design are approved by Council of Architecture(COA), a statutory body constituted by the Government of India to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects.

  

• Bar Council of India (BCI)

  Lovely Professional University is recognized for conferring the degree of law for imparting L.L.B, B.A.L.L.B Integrated and B.A.L.L.B (Hons) integrated programmes by Bar Council of India(BCI), a statutory body of the Government of India created to regulate and represent the Indian Bar.

  

• The Institution of Engineers(India)

  Diploma in Engineering namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering being conducted at the Lovely Professional University are recognized by The Institution of Engineers(India), Established 1920, Incorporated by Royal Charter 1935; and Candidate possessing any one of these diplomas is eligible to become 'Senior Technician' of the Institution as per rules.
